PUBG Corp. announced this morning that its namesake game will soon receive an update to allow PS4 and Xbox One users to play together. The announcement came during Microsoft’s Inside Xbox press conference at the 2019 Gamescom exhibition in Germany.
During the conference, PUBG Corp representatives took to the stage to talk about future game updates, including the much-anticipated Season 4. They released few specific details regarding the cross-platform play update, but did specify that PC players will not be included. The rollout will begin in late September, exclusively on the PUBG test servers, before officially launching on the main game servers in early October.
